Vuelta Playa Blanca Lanzarote Hand Bike Race

Seamus Wall was away for the first race of the season in Lanzarote. A good chance to get in some warm weather training, finishing off with TT and a road race at the end of the week.  Seamus got the feel for home in the TT with heavy rain by the time he took to the start line. A mechanical problem with his Di2 gear shifting left him stuck in one gear but finished a credible 8th place.  The following day was the road race in criterium style, racing with a 2 km loop in Playa Blanca.  Seamus had another solid race finishing in 10th place.

Round 4 of the National Duathlon series hosted by Waterford Triathlon Club in Tramore. This is one of the biggest duathlon races in the country, with almost 400 athletes taking to the start line. Weather conditions on the morning were far from ideal, with wind and driving rain. Another big turn out from Focus on Fitness athletes for this race, with some great results, PB’s, and AG prize winners.
